Heroes of Might and Magic V
-Hammers of Fate
-Tribes of the East
HOMM V
HOMM V has six factions or alignments: Haven, Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon, Sylvan and Academy. Moreover, the two expansion packs of HOMM V, which are "Hammers of Fate" and "Tribes of the East", added the Fortress and Stronghold factions.
HOMM V is the first game of this series that have Multiplay Mode. Players can play HOMM V together through the internet. That makes HOMM V more playable than first four games.
The 3D view is also developed. Players can use "ctrl" + "<-" or "->" on the keyboard to control the 360 degree view of the game. Other wonderful development is the beautiful pictures. If you go through the pictures from HOMM I to HOMM V, you will get a big surprise that you have such amazing pictures in HOMM V.
Another series of games , Might and Magic, are RPG(role-playing game), and HOMM I to IV are Turn-based Strategy Games. Heroes of Might and Magic V has the advantages of both MMs and HOMMs, so it is a Turn-based Strategy AND Role-playing game.

The Article of New York Times of Heroes of Might and Magic
Charles
Herold, an game reporter of New York Times, said, "It's not the best
game ever made, but once you start playing, it becomes almost impossible
to stop. As the hours glide by you might tell yourself you will stop
just as soon as your troops cross a guarded bridge, occupy a castle or
find a magical artifact, but by the time a task is completed, another,
just as pressing, has arisen. Once you finally reach the end of a
mission you might decide to just play a few minutes of the beginning of
the next level to see what it's like, and then play another four hours."(Herold)
He also said, "The latest entry in the Heroes of Might and Magic
strategy game series isn't innovative or cutting edge. It relies on the
same basic formula of the other games as the player leads an army in a
quest to gain territory and power. But that formula is so effective that
the game pulls you in and won't let go until 4 in the morning when,
bleary-eyed and sore, you finally admit that you need sleep more than
you need to lay siege to that castle. And no matter how familiar the
game play is, you can't complain too much about one that you just can't
stop playing."
